Position: Utility Maintenance Lead

Location: 23262 Township Rd 540, Fort Saskatchewan, AB T5Y 6K1

Status: Permanent – Full Time

Salary Range: $41.51 to $45.43 per hour

ARROW Utilities, a Capital Region Commission is a regional services Commission providing wastewater transmission and treatment services to nearly 400,000 people in 13 municipalities surrounding the City of Edmonton. ARROW owns and operates 200 km of wastewater transmission lines, 5 pumping stations, and a modern state of the art wastewater treatment plant located just north of Sherwood Park, Alberta. Our mission is to provide safe, reliable, cost-effective and environmentally responsible wastewater transmission and treatment services.

About the Job Opportunity:

We are hiring one (1) permanent full-time Utility Maintenance Lead reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor. Key responsibilities include:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and perform landscaping, housekeeping, painting, and general upkeep to maintain a clean, safe facility and grounds.
  • Operate and supervise forklifts and other mobile equipment to transport materials and support general labor tasks.
  • Assist and guide maintenance personnel with repairs, tool preparation, and routine corrective and preventive maintenance (CM/PM).
  • Record and monitor maintenance activities, track equipment condition, and support digital documentation as required.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and trades personnel to support project work, allocate resources, and ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Train, coach, and guide direct report (s), including seasonal workers to ensure safe equipment use, job readiness, and compliance with maintenance protocols.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 3- 5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting
  • High school diploma (Grade 12) or Post Secondary required.
  • An additional trade ticket (e.g. carpenter, plumber or similar) is considered an asset.
  • Proficient with hand tools and mobile equipment, ensuring safe and effective use.
  • Competent with computer systems to track maintenance records and support decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and safe work practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Compensation and Benefits

This position will appeal to an individual with the right experience who is looking for a stable and predictable work environment. This position is on a 9/ 80 schedule (80 hours every 2 weeks). The hours of work are every Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., with alternating Fridays until 3 p.m. or off as an Earned Day Off (EDO). The salary range for this position is $41.51 to $45.43 per hour.
