Manager of Capital Projects and Infrastructure

The Town of Osoyoos (Town) seeks a Manager of Capital Projects and Infrastructure with municipal experience to join the Osoyoos team. Located in the southernmost area of the Okanagan Valley, the Town has a growing population of approximately 6,000. Osoyoos is a resort municipality renowned for its stunning desert landscapes, water-based activities, orchards, vineyards, and golf courses. The Manager of Capital Projects and Infrastructure leads municipal infrastructure projects related to roads, water and sewer, and provides strategic technical oversight related to utilities, stormwater, roads, buildings, parks and related infrastructure, and works collaboratively within the organization on the development, review and implementation of practices and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the department. In the absence of the Director of Operational Services, the Manager of Capital Projects and Infrastructure may perform the duties and functions of the Director as required. The preferred candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ municipal experience in infrastructure projects related to roads, water and sewer, and occupational health and safety including management of a unionized work force
  • A Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from a recognized education institution (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Registered Applied Science Technologist (AScT), or eligibility for registration, Engineering Licensee (Eng.L.) or registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in management of technical staff in a unionized environment
  • Project management training from a recognized educational institution would be considered an asset
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License

This exempt position has a salary range of $102,237 to $120,279 (2025) and offers a competitive benefits package.
