Salary: $66,579.00 to $81,749.00 per annum
ARROW Utilities, a Capital Region Commission is a regional services Commission providing wastewater transmission and treatment services to nearly 400,000 people in 13 municipalities surrounding the City of Edmonton. ARROW owns and operates 200 km of wastewater transmission lines, 5 pumping stations, and a modern state of the art wastewater treatment plant located just north of Sherwood Park, Alberta. Our mission is to provide safe, reliable, cost-effective and environmentally responsible wastewater transmission and treatment services.
This is an exciting time to join ARROW as we are experiencing unprecedented growth with the expansion of our wastewater treatment facility and the use of membrane bioreactor removal (MBR) technology to treat used water for resale to industrial clients. We’re focused on building strong, resilient teams and increasing capacity to support our evolving operations.
We are hiring one full-time, permanent Executive Assistant reporting to the Communications, Administration, & Strategic Services Supervisor. Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO and Executive Team, including managing correspondence, preparing briefing materials, and tracking action items to ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate Board and Committee meetings by preparing and distributing agenda packages, taking minutes, and maintaining accurate governance records.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Board members, municipal administrators, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional communication.
- Organize meeting and event logistics, including room bookings, catering, equipment setup, and document distribution to support smooth operational delivery.
- Support office administration functions by maintaining filing systems, processing mail, ordering supplies and onboarding materials (including PPE), and ensuring shared spaces are well organized.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3 – 5 years of experience in an executive assistant or similar administrative role, including working with a Board of Directors or elected officials.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities under minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive, with sound judgment and a safety-conscious mindset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn and implement new solutions.
This position is a hybrid opportunity, with the ability to work from home up to two days a week. We work a compressed work week of 70 hours biweekly, with every other Friday as an earned day off (EDO).
