Community Safety Officer
The Village of Radium Hot Springs, B.C. seeks a Community Safety Officer to join its busy Protective Services Department.
As a key member of the department, the successful applicant will demonstrate pride in the community and will work with people dedicated to the safety of Radium citizens and visitors.
Supporting the Manager of Protective Services and Community Safety -- and with a focus on customer service and community education – the position includes bylaw enforcement, animal control, business licence administration, as well as other duties.
The ideal applicant will have two years’ or more experience in a bylaw enforcement, peace officer, or comparable role.
Alternatively, the Village may provide training for the right applicant.
This is a full-time position, with the typical shift being Tuesday-Saturday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Some evening shifts will be required.
This position offers opportunities for training and professional growth as well as a comprehensive benefits package including pension. The wage range is $33.75 -$38.75 per hour commensurate with experience.
