Are you committed to developing and maintaining meaningful connections with community partners and sponsors to expand support for our initiatives? We are looking for a dedicated Community Partnership Coordinator to be a key resource for our Community Services department. In this role, you’ll need to bring a high level of professionalism, sound judgment and strong communication skills to ensure effective partnerships and exceptional service delivery. 

Reporting to the Team Lead, Arts & Events, you will support community groups and volunteer organizations by building strong relationships, offering organizational development and connecting them with internal City departments and external partners. The Community Partnership Coordinator exists to generate a community impact and drive revenue through sponsorship, advertising and partnerships to enhance programs, services and facilities across Community Services.

What YOU’RE Responsible for:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community groups and existing sponsors to help bring in sponsors

  • Research sponsorship trends and best practices to improve our approach

  • Keep sponsorship and advertising materials (presentation decks, advertising media) current and relevant

  • Help prepare personalized sponsorship proposals and ensure all agreements are followed through

  • Work with other city teams, including Legal Services, to develop and finalize contracts. Lead and take responsibility of discussions and negotiations with sponsors

  • Coordinate and collaborate on the design, production, and installation of signs or materials and activities related to sponsorships and advertising

  • Ensure contract obligations are met while renewing and extending contracts

  • Meet allocated revenue targets 

  • Provide guidance and information to Community Volunteer Organizations (CVOs) on available supports and external resources

  • Manage the City’s CVO program and develop toolkits and resources

  • Develop and deliver support services for volunteers within the community

  • Support and attend City-run events and programs as needed

  • Take part in planning meetings and brainstorming sessions with the team

  • Support the Team Lead, Arts & Events with tasks and projects as assigned

What YOU Bring:

  • A degree in Recreation, Marketing, business or equivalent or a diploma with 3+ years direct experience in sponsorship or community development

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related area of sponsorship, marketing, sales, and non-profit management

  • Strong understanding of community engagement and partnership building practices

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal problem-solving and organizational skills

  • The ability to be flexible, adapt to changing priorities and balance a variety of objectives; as well as being self-directed and motivated

  • A clear criminal record check along with vulnerable section check

  • A salary of $67,030.60-$87,451.00 yearly (based on experience and qualifications)
