Calgary launches CEIP

The Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) has arrived in Calgary.

Residential property owners in the City of Calgary can now access a unique form of low-interest financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy upgrades. Repayment is handled conveniently through property taxes, and, if the property sells, the financing is transferable to new owners.

For a limited time, the City of Calgary is offering an incentive, reducing the project financing by up to 10% for completed projects. Availability is limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

This project is being carried out with assistance from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Green Municipal Fund, an endowment created by the Government of Canada. The City of Calgary received $15 million to support the implementation of CEIP for residential properties.
