As the Systems Application Technician, you'll help ensure the seamless operation of the applications, platforms, and systems that power our organization. Your expertise in technical support, troubleshooting, business systems and ERP integrations, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint administration, and solution development will help streamline processes, solve complex challenges, and drive innovation that enhances operational efficiency, employee experience, and service delivery.
Working as part of a small, collaborative Information Services team, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact across the organization. No two days are the same. From supporting business applications and ERP systems to developing manual and automated integrations, partnering on projects, and driving process improvements, you'll enjoy a variety of work while helping teams get the most value from their technology investments.
In This Role You Will
• Act as the primary technical resource for business applications, providing expert support, troubleshooting, and administration.
• Maintain, enhance, and support business systems and platforms, including developing, monitoring, and troubleshooting manual and automated integrations between ERP, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise systems.
• Develop technology solutions using Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, Power Apps, and Power Automate, to meet organizational needs.
• Administer and support the organization's SharePoint Online environment, including site administration, document management, permissions, governance, security, external sharing, Microsoft 365 integrations, troubleshooting, content migrations, workflow automation, and end-user support.
• Support software implementations, upgrades, projects, and process improvement initiatives across the organization.
• Collaborate with business units to understand business requirements, recommend solutions, and improve workflows.
• Manage relationships with software vendors to coordinate support, issue resolution, and system enhancements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, configuration standards, and knowledge resources.
• Train and support users, promoting the effective adoption and use of technology solutions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring
• A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, combined with a minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting business applications and technology solutions.
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Windows Server, SQL, and cloud-based services, with experience administering and optimizing SharePoint Online environments, including site administration, permissions management, governance, security, document management, external sharing, Microsoft 365 integrations, content migrations, workflow automation, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
• Experience configuring, integrating, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications, ERP systems, Microsoft 365 solutions, and associated manual and automated integrations.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting, reporting, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, security principles, virtualization technologies, and data governance practices.
• Proven ability to analyze business requirements, solve complex technical issues, and deliver practical technology solutions.
• Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Microsoft, ITIL, SharePoint, Power Platform, Project Management, or related technical certifications are considered an asset.
• Municipal government experience is considered an asset.
