Director, Corporate Services
Clearwater County’s Director of Corporate Services provides strategic guidance and financial expertise to the CAO and Council. As a senior leader reporting to the CAO, you will provide leadership and direction for the corporate services departments. This includes establishing objectives, overseeing and monitoring results for Assessment, Financial Services, Information Technology, Communications and Records Management subdepartments in alignment with legislative and regulatory requirements as well as Clearwater County’s Strategic Plan.
Required Qualifications:
Education / Certification:
• Post-secondary degree in Municipal Management, Public Administration, Commerce, Business, Accounting
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation; member in good standing
• Professional development and certification in leadership is preferred
Experience:
• 8-10 years’ progressive experience, including leadership, strategic planning, budget planning, taxation and administration
• Municipal government experience is preferred Assets/Preferred:
• Professional development and training in legislative compliance and municipal administration is an asset
• National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration certificate(s) and Certified Local Government Manager (CLGM) designation or equivalent certifications are preferred
• Experience working with directors, boards, or councillors. Experience within a Municipal or public service work environment is considered an asset
• Experience working with computerized accounting systems (Diamond/Great Plains Financial Software)
