Water conservation guide released
ABmunis is excited to share our new Municipal Water Conservation: Getting Started and Advancing Practices Guide, developed to support municipalities at all stages of their water conservation journey. The guide provides practical, accessible tools to help communities strengthen water efficiency, plan for long-term sustainability, and respond to growing pressures on municipal water systems.
This resource builds on ABmunis work through our Water Conservation Engagement Program (CEP) and reflects collaboration with municipal leaders and water practitioners across Alberta. As part of this work, the ABmunis Infrastructure and Environment Committee is also committed to renewing the 2012 Municipal Water System Viability Guide in 2026. This will ensure municipalities have up-to-date, relevant guidance to support resilient and sustainable water systems.
