Update from the legislature – February 25, 2026
The second session of the 31st legislature resumed yesterday on February 24, 2026, with nine sitting weeks scheduled between now and May 14.
Budget 2026
President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance, Nate Horner, is scheduled to release the 2026-27 provincial budget tomorrow afternoon. Alberta Municipalities (ABmunis) will conduct a comprehensive analysis and release a report outlining how the provincial budget supports municipalities.
