Town of Bruderheim launches innovative in-person virtual clinic
In partnership with Rocket Doctor, the Town of Bruderheim launched a virtual healthcare option for its residents on Monday, September 15, 2025.
Rocket Doctor is a digital health platform that allows physicians to provide care virtually, which offers significant benefits to rural Alberta residents. Moreover, the services offered are covered by Alberta Health.
The virtual clinic is accessible to residents in two (2) ways:
- An in-person virtual clinic at a local pharmacy – which provides access to residents who may lack access to smart devices, reliable internet, or the digital literacy needed to engage with telehealth services.
- Remote/online – appointments can be booked from home via a link accessible on the Town of Bruderheim’s website.
In tandem with ongoing rural physician attraction and retention efforts, partnership-based solutions like this will help improve the accessibility of healthcare services in communities across Alberta.
