Tower siting amendments consultation

The Government of Canada’s Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has launched a public consultation on proposed amendments to the tower siting process, as well as decisions related to roaming, tower sharing, and annual reporting requirements for terrestrial licences.

The consultation includes several proposed changes that may be of interest to municipalities and Land-Use Authorities. It also builds on work identified through the Fall 2025 Red Tape Reduction initiative.

Municipalities and stakeholders wishing to provide comments are encouraged to do so by July 16, 2026.

Comments can be submitted by email to the spectrumoperations-operationsduspectre [at] ised-isde.gc.ca (Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada).
