Strong ABmunis presence at FCM's 2026 Convention
The Federation of Canadian Municipalities conference was a busy and productive one for the ABmunis team.
ABmunis President Dylan Bressey shared Alberta's municipal success stories during the panel "How to Pay for Growth: Alternatives to Property Taxes and Development Charges," highlighting the impact of Alberta's Off-site Levies Model and our Property Taxes Reimagined initiative.
President Dylan Bressey also led a dedicated contingent of ABmunis Board members throughout the conference, ensuring Alberta municipalities had a strong voice at key discussions and networking opportunities.
At the Rural Roundtable with Ministers Robertson and Olszewski, infrastructure funding remained a key focus. Dylan emphasized the need for harmonized water and wastewater regulations that allow municipalities to implement safe, effective, and affordable treatment solutions.
We're grateful for the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and advocate on behalf of our members. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and building on the momentum from the conference.
And a big thank you to everyone who stopped by our trade show booth at FCM's 2026 Convention, grabbed a coffee on us, connected with our team, or joined us at the Rural, Northern and Remote Reception!
