Sand & gravel pit engagements open this summer

Alberta’s Environment and Protected Areas (EPA) is updating the Code of Practice for Pits to implement recent legislative changes and recommendations from the Sand and Gravel Task Force. As part of this work, EPA is seeking municipal input on environmental conditions commonly included in sand and gravel pit development permits and whether these should be reflected in provincial registration and application requirements.
