Provincial ministers meet with Economic Strategy Committee

Earlier this month, ABmunis’ Economic Strategy Committee met with Minister of Jobs, Economy and Trade Matt Jones and Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation R.J. Sigurdson to discuss provincial programs and initiatives and share municipal needs and priorities. 

Committee members also received an update on work the provincial government is doing that relates to member-sponsored resolutions on:

• Veterinary medicine programs
• Review and update of Alberta's Animal Protection Act
• Stable funding for Regional Economic Development Agencies (REDAs)
• Mainstreet revitalization
• The future of the New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA).
