Have your say on Alberta's Lobbyists Act review

The Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future is conducting its statutory review of the Lobbyists Act and is inviting written submissions from stakeholders, including municipalities across Alberta.  

Although municipalities are currently exempt from the Act under section 3(1), the Committee is seeking feedback on municipalities' experiences with the legislation and any recommendations for how it could be improved. 

Alberta Municipalities (ABmunis) encourages members with perspectives on the Act to consider participating in the review. Written submissions must be received by 12:00 pm on August 17, 2026.
