EOEP pre-Convention: Plan with purpose

One of the toughest tasks for an elected official is balancing representing your constituents on mundane everyday issues and planning the long-term goals and priorities of your municipality. Getting this right is the core of leadership. 

This interactive course will be held on September 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will equip elected officials with the tools and knowledge to lead effectively by separating day-to-day operations from big-picture planning.   

Participants will learn the critical role of strategic planning in ensuring the long-term success and resilience of their municipality. You will also explore how councils can collaborate to set realistic goals, understand the key elements of a strategic plan, and gain practical skills in the planning process.
