CEIP Launches in Beaumont
Applications are now open for the City of Beaumont’s Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP), providing homeowners with a financial tool to support energy efficiency and renewable energy upgrades to their properties.
The City of Beaumont has received $1,555,390 from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Green Municipal Fund, an endowment created by the Government of Canada, to support the program's implementation. The program is expected to support financing to an estimated 74 projects with the cost of upgrades.
With the goal of creating a more climate resilient community and lowering utility costs, the list of eligible upgrades includes windows, doors, adding solar panels, increasing insulation, upgrading lighting fixtures and buying a tankless hot water system.
