ABmunis Announces Interim President Ahead of 2025 Convention

Alberta Municipalities is pleased to announce that our Board has selected Deborah Reid-Mickler as interim President, effective immediately and continuing through our 2025 Convention and Trade Show. Deborah was elected to the ABmunis Board in 2023 and is currently our Vice President & Director of Villages and Summer Villages. She brings a wealth of experience and continuity to our organization during this important transition period.  

We extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to Tyler Gandam for his dedicated service.  

Tyler joined the ABmunis Board in 2018 when he was elected as the Director for Cities up to 500,000. He also served as our Vice President of Cities up to 500,000 and served on our Alberta Municipal Services Corporation (AMSC) Board prior to being elected President in 2023.  

Tyler’s steadfast commitment and dedication have played a pivotal role in shaping Alberta Municipalities into the organization it is today. Through building strong, enduring relationships with municipal elected officials and administrators throughout the province, Tyler ensured that every municipal voice—from Summer Villages to Cities—was valued and heard. 

Our new President will be elected by our members at the AGM during Convention and will serve as the official President for the 2025–2027 term.
