2026 Resolutions book & voting results
Hundreds of members debated and voted on key resolutions that will shape Alberta Municipalities’ (ABmunis) advocacy priorities at our 2026 Convention and Tradeshow in Edmonton on September 24.
Our final version of our 2026 Resolutions Book is now ready. This document summarizes the results of member voting on the 2026 resolutions. It includes all the approved resolutions and reflects the adopted amendments to two resolutions:
- B2: Further Strengthening Governance and Funding Models for Seniors’ Lodge Accommodations
- E1: Investing in Prevention: Strengthening FCSS and Community Well-Being
All adopted resolutions are considered active for a three-year period. You can keep track of the resolutions online in our Resolutions Library, which includes the response(s) to the resolutions and any actions taken by the government, as well as ABmunis’ ratings of the responses, our prioritization of the issue, and our planned advocacy. We also update members on resolutions through our annual resolution report card.
You can find our Resolutions Book here.
Resolutions Music
What would a resolutions session be without the music? One of the most anticipated traditions of the resolutions debate is the carefully selected soundtrack that accompanies each resolution. Before Convention, ABmunis' Policy and Advocacy team reviews every resolution and has a little fun brainstorming songs that connect to the topic, theme, or spirit of the debate.
Whether the connection is obvious or requires a bit of creative interpretation, the music adds energy and entertainment to the session while members consider important policy issues. For those who were curious about the playlist choices, we've included the list of songs and artists selected for the 2026 resolutions session below. Enjoy reliving the music and seeing how each tune was matched to its resolution!
