Update from the Legislature – June 1, 2022
The spring sitting of the third session of the 30th Legislature concluded on May 26. The Legislature is scheduled to resume sitting on October 31. Twenty-two of 24 government bills passed and have received or are awaiting royal assent.
Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board Travis Toews announced his resignation to pursue the leadership of the United Conservative Party. Premier Jason Kenney indicated he would hold off on naming a replacement to see if any other members of executive council put their names forward for the position.
