Update from the Legislature – April 13, 2022

The legislature is in the second week of a two-week constituency break. Session will resume on Tuesday, April 19.

Elections Alberta released the 2021 annual financial statements for political parties and constituency associations on April 8. They show the official opposition with substantially higher net assets than the other major parties as of the end of last year. The totals are:

  • New Democrat - $5,598,136.01
  • United Conservative - $1,141,647.39
  • Pro-Life - $154,026.20
  • Alberta - $74,343.57
  • Wild Rose Independence $54,608.90
  • Liberal - $53,165.51
