Resolve to submit a resolution by June 30

AUMA has released our 2021 Resolutions Guide and Template to help members prepare and submit resolutions for consideration at AUMA’s 2021 annual convention by June 30, 2021.

The deadline for submitting resolutions is normally May 31 of each year. The deadline has been extended by a month, since AUMA’s convention is not taking place until November 17 to 19, 2021, following the municipal elections in October.

Even though the deadline is extended, we encourage you to start thinking about resolutions now. Reach out to AUMA’s advocacy team at advocacy [at] auma.ca (advocacy[at]auma[dot]ca) to discuss if a resolution is the best option for addressing an issue. Reach out to fellow municipalities to see if they might be able to sponsor or second your resolution.
