Learn about council's role in service delivery; course starts April 20

Don’t miss your chance to take Elected Officials Education Program (EOEP) virtual offering of Council’s Role in Service Delivery.

Municipal councils are expected to plan, govern, and set policy in the best interests of their communities. Elected officials need to know how to set service levels and understand various aspects of service delivery.

The EOEP’s Council’s Role in Service Delivery course provides participants with an overview of the various services and delivery mechanisms available to municipalities, the pros and cons of each, and how councils can made educated decisions related to service delivery.

The course will be delivered in four sessions on successive Wednesday evenings. Here are the course dates and times:

  • April 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • April 27, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • May 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • May 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Registration is open at a cost of $295 per participant. While councils are encouraged to take this training together, each participant will need their own registration and computer or electronic device to participate.

Elected officials who successfully complete all seven EOEP courses earn a Municipal Elected Leaders Certificate.
