Public Works Operator
The Town of Milk River is currently accepting applications for a Public Works Operator position.
Reporting to the Public Works Foreman, this position will be responsible for assisting the Public Works department with operation of the water treatment plant, water distribution system, sewer lagoons, sewage collection system, garbage collection, mowing, snow removal, and other duties as required. It will also include general maintenance of vehicles and property, including recreational facilities like the swimming pool.
These Certifications, or a willingness to successfully obtain such, will be considered an asset:

Level 1 or 2 Water Distribution and Treatment certifications

Level 1 or 2 Wastewater Collection and Treatment certifications
-
Level 1 or higher Pool operation certification
-
Pesticide Application Certification
-
Class 3Q Drivers’ License
Other Qualifications:
-
High school diploma; Class 5Q Drivers’ License

Experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment

Experience working in municipal operations
-
Clean drivers abstract and criminal record check will be required

Honest, trustworthiness and the ability to maintain confidentiality

Positive, helpful, and a team-oriented attitude

Ability to provide excellent customer service to our residents

Ability to work with limited supervision and a competent and practical problem solver
Hours of work are 40 hours per week. Overtime and on-call work will be required, and this position will be included in the on-call rotation.
