This position is based out the Town of Whitecourt Administration Building.


This position is responsible for assisting with payroll and Human Resources processes. This is full time, permanent position that works closely with other experienced staff in the Town’s organization.


Key Duties:
•Payroll and Human Resources data entry into the payroll application and time and attendance management software.
•Completion of and/or assist with research and compensation and government surveys as required.
•Prepare advertisement for job postings and arrange posting in the newspaper and websites.
•Full cycle administration of the Sun Life benefit program and pension plan.
•Filing and scanning of all Payroll and Human Resources files as required.
•Maintain and administer employee rewards and recognition program.
•Assist with Year-end tasks including calculation of pension adjustments.


Qualifications:
•High School Diploma.
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll administration, time, and attendance management working with a payroll application.
•Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
•Proficient in Excel and Word.
•Municipal experience is an asset, and in a related position would be preferred.
•Payroll and accounting courses would be an asset.
•Payroll designation is desirable or willing to obtain.
