ARROW Utilities, a Capital Region Commission is a regional services Commission providing wastewater transmission and treatment services to nearly 400,000 people in 13 municipalities surrounding the City of Edmonton. ARROW owns and operates 200 km of wastewater transmission lines, 5 pumping stations, and a modern state of the art wastewater treatment plant located just north of Sherwood Park, Alberta. Our mission is to provide safe, reliable, cost-effective and environmentally responsible wastewater transmission and treatment services.

This is an exciting time to join ARROW as we are experiencing unprecedented growth with the expansion of our wastewater treatment facility and the use of membrane bioreactor removal (MBR) technology to treat used water for resale to industrial clients. About the Opportunity

We are hiring one Full Time Two (2) Year Fixed Term Business and Process Analyst, reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, with the possibility of contract extension or conversion to permanent status subject to organizational requirements and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Replacement project, ensuring effective project management, development of comprehensive business documentation, and support in data accuracy, testing and quality management.
  • Collaborate with business areas to identify opportunities to streamline, enhance processes to improve efficiency, functionality, information quality, and overall organizational effectiveness, while maximizing the use of internal information technology and system applications.
  • Develop and improve on business and financial reporting capabilities based on industry best practices and standards that may include interactive visual dashboards for performance visibility while simplifying complex data for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Using a range of reporting and analytical tools to extract, analyze, and interpret large volumes of business and financial data, identifying trends and patterns to support better informed decision making.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience with working knowledge of finance and demonstrated ability to analyze, improve, and document business processes.
  • Proven project management skills with demonstrated experience delivering projects from end-to-end.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem solving, adaptable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • CBAP, CCBA, PMP, or similar certifications are considered an asset.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Power Automate, Power BI, Tableau, and SQL.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a hybrid role, with the ability to work from home up to two days a week. We work a compressed work week of 70 hours biweekly, with every other Friday as an earned day off (EDO).   The salary range for this position is $94,739.00 to $118,498.75. This position is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
