CEIP launches in Lethbridge

Applications are now open for the City of Lethbridge’s Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP), providing homeowners with a financial tool to support energy efficiency and renewable energy upgrades to their properties.

The City of Lethbridge has received $3.8 million from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Green Municipal Fund, an endowment created by the Government of Canada, to support the program's implementation. During the four-year pilot project, the program is expected to help an estimated 180 homeowners with the cost of upgrades.

With the goal of creating a more climate resilient community and lowering utility costs, the list of eligible upgrades includes windows, doors, adding solar panels, increasing insulation, upgrading lighting fixtures and buying a tankless hot water system.
